Nursing profession is a profession which requires gaining cognitive behavior as well as psychomotor and attitudinal behaviors. So, it is necessitated to use innovative practices in education. One o f the most effective teaching methods which gains cognitive and psychomotor behaviors to students is 'Interactive method which contributes students to participate in iearning process actively. Simulation vvhich takes part in these methods is used actively to improve cognitiveas well as psychomotor and attitudinal knovvledge and skills o f students by providing real learning environment to students for experiencing real life situations.İt is aimed to improve student's skills and attitudes by creating the closest real situation with usage o f simulation in nursing education. Simulation used in nursing education includes role plays with simulators with real or simulated patients , Computer based simulation, simulation software, video, DVD or creation o f Virtual reality, Computer controlled simulators and interactive patient simulators.in this article is aimed to explain benefits and levels o f simulation where students participate actively in learning process, students' critical thinking and problem solving process is supported, which foresees meaning and reconstruction o f student's own knovvledge with new experiences by giving samples
