ADAPTATION OF "ATTITUDES OF TEACHERS ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONSTRUCTIVIST APPROACH SCALE"

Abstract

In this study, "Attitude Towards Constructivist Approach Scale for Preservice Science Teachers" has been adapted to applicable to all teachers. After the necessary permission items of the scale were changed to applicable to all teachers, some experts' opinions were taken in accordance with these changes. In light of the feedbacks given by the experts, some items were corrected. Subsequently, a pool of items including a total of 16 items was applied to the sample group. EFA was applied for structural validity of the scale and the results of the EFA showed that scale consisted of two factors. In order to test whether the four-factor scale would be verified as a model, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted, and the structure of four-factor scale was confirmed. The reliability of the professional values scale was investigated through Cronbach Alpha coefficient and the reliability coefficients were found to be quite high. Consequently, it is put down the fact that attitudes of teachers about the implementation of the constructivist approach scale was a valid and reliable measurement tool.

"ÖĞRETMENLERİN YAPILANDIRMACI YAKLAŞIMI UYGULAMAYA YÖNELİK TUTUM ÖLÇEĞİ" NİN UYARLANMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmada "Fen Öğretmen Adaylarına Yönelik Yapılandırmacı Yaklaşım Tutum Ölçeği" tüm branşlardaki öğretmenlere uygulanabilecek şekilde uyarlanmıştır. Gerekli izinler alındıktan sonra ölçeğin maddeleri tüm branşlardaki öğretmenlere uygulanabilir şekilde değiştirilmiş bu değişiklikler kapsamında uzman görüşü alınmıştır. Uzman görüşü doğrultusunda ölçekte düzeltmeler yapılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda 16 maddelik madde havuzu örneklem grubuna uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliği çalışmaları kapsamında AFA yapılmış ve ölçeğin iki faktörden oluştuğu belirlenmiştir. Ölçeğin bir model olarak doğrulanıp doğrulanmadığını test etmek amacıyla doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin dört faktörlü yapısı, bir model olarak doğrulanmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirliği ise Cronbach Alfa katsayısı ile incelenmiş ve güvenirlik katsayılarının oldukça yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak Öğretmenlerin Yapılandırmacı Yaklaşımı Uygulamaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği'nin, geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.
