Havayolu Şirketlerinde Yan Gelir: Havayolu Yöneticilerinin ve Yolcu Tercihlerinin Karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Küresel
ve bölgesel politik/siyasi/ekonomik krizlere yüksek seviyede duyarlı yapıya sahip
olan ticari havayolu taşımacılığı sektörü; özellikle düşük kar marjları,
değişken operasyonel maliyetler sebebiyle sektör içindeki firmaları çetin
rekabet koşulları içinde faaliyet göstermeye zorlamaktadır. Zorlaşan rekabet
koşulları içerisinde havayolları yeni gelir kalemleri arayışına girmişlerdir ve
çözümü yan gelir kalemlerinin üretilmesinde bulmuşlardır. Çalışmada, farklı
türdeki havayolu iş modellerinde, yan gelirlerin araştırılması, yönetici ve
yolcuların tercihlerinin karşılaştırılması hedeflenmiştir.  17 farklı uluslararası havayolundan, 160
havayolu yöneticisi ve 24 farklı ülkeden 188 havayolu yolcusu ile yapılan anket
çalışmasında; havayolu yöneticilerinin ve yolcuların farklı havayolu iş
modellerinde farklı yan gelir üretim yöntemlerini tercih ettikleri görülmüştür.
