Eurasian Journal of Media, Communication, and Culture Studies is committed to maintaining academic integrity and scientific quality by implementing a strict plagiarism policy. All submitted articles undergo automatic similarity checks using plagiarism detection tools such as iThenticate, Turnitin, or similar software to ensure originality and adherence to ethical standards.
Articles sent to the journal are automatically scanned via intihal.net during upload.
Plagiarism Assessment Criteria
• Articles with a similarity rate exceeding 15% are not considered for peer review. Authors will be notified and requested to revise their work to meet originality standards.
• The similarity rate includes direct quotations, references, and methodology sections. However, editorial discretion is applied when assessing significant original content.
• If plagiarism or unauthorized copying is detected in any part of the manuscript, the submission will be rejected outright, and future collaboration with the responsible author(s) may be reconsidered.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that their submissions are entirely original and that all borrowed content is appropriately cited. It is recommended that authors conduct their own similarity checks prior to submission to avoid ethical issues.
Editorial Process
Editors and reviewers carefully assess the similarity reports during the evaluation process. If necessary, they may request revisions or decide to reject the manuscript. In cases of proven ethical misconduct, appropriate actions will be taken in line with the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
