Üst Ekstremite Hipermobilite Değerlendirme Aracı’nın (ULHAT) Türkçe Geçerlilik ve Güvenilirliliği

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Üst Ekstremite Hipermobilite Değerlendirme Aracı’nın (ULHAT) Türkçe diline adaptasyonunu gerçekleştirerek geçerlilik ve güvenirliğini araştırmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: ULHAT’ın Türkçe versiyonu (TR-ULHAT), uluslararası yönergelere uygun olarak çok aşamalı bir süreçle oluşturulmuştur. Katılımcıların değerlendirilmesinde Beighton Skorlama Sistemi ve TR-ULHAT kullanılmıştır. Tüm katılımcılar birbirinin bulgularına kör iki bağımsız değerlendirici tarafından değerlendirilmiştir. Ölçeğin güvenilirliliğini değerlendirmek amacıyla test-tekrar test güvenilirlilik ve değerlendiriciler arası güvenilirlilik analizleri yapılmıştır. Kriter geçerliliğini incelemek amacıyla TR-ULHAT ve Beighton toplam puanları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar: Çalışmaya 101 katılımcı (74 kadın, 27 erkek) dahil edilmiştir. Ölçeğin test-tekrar test güvenilirliliği orta düzeydeydi (ICC [2,1]=0,712, p<0,001) ve değerlendiriciler arası güvenilirliliği iyiydi (ICC [2,1]=0,780, p<0,001). Beighton ve TR-ULHAT skorları arasında anlamlı ve orta düzeyde pozitif korelasyon saptanmıştır (rₛ=0,658, p<0,001). Tartışma: Sonuçlarımız TR-ULHAT’ın, güvenilir ve geçerli bir ölçüm aracı olduğunu göstermiştir. TR-ULHAT, üst ekstremite hipermobilitesini değerlendirmek için pratik bir değerlendirme aracı olarak klinik uygulamaya sunulmuştur.

The Turkish Validity and Reliability of the Upper Limb Hypermobility Assessment Tool (ULHAT)

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the validity and reliability of the Upper Limb Hypermobility Assessment Tool (ULHAT) by adapting it into the Turkish language. Material and Methods: The Turkish version of ULHAT (TR-ULHAT) has been constructed through a multi-stage process in accordance with international guidelines. The Beighton Scoring System and TR-ULHAT were used in the assessment of participants. All participants were assessed by two independent raters who were blinded to each other's findings. To assess the reliability of the scale, analyses of test-retest reliability and inter-rater reliability were conducted. To examine criterion validity, the relationship between TR-ULHAT and Beighton total scores was investigated. Results: The study included 101 participants (74 female, 27 male). The test-retest reliability of the scale was moderate (ICC [2,1]=0.712, p<0.001), and the inter-rater reliability was good (ICC [2,1]=0.780, p<0.001). A significant and moderate positive correlation was found between the Beighton and TR-ULHAT scores (rₛ=0.658, p<0.001). Conclusion: Our results demonstrate that TR-ULHAT is a reliable and valid measurement tool. TR-ULHAT has been presented to clinical practice as a practical assessment tool for evaluating upper extremity hypermobility.
