Abstract

The aim of our study was to compare the effects of online video-based interactive physical activity and ergonomics training and e-brochure-based training on musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomic risks, physical activity and exercise behavior and knowledge level in physiotherapy students receiving distance education. 127 individuals were included in the study, randomized and divided into Group I (video-based interactive training) and Group II (e-brochure training). Physical activity and ergonomics training program was applied for 3 times a week in 6 weeks, through the video-based online platform called Edpuzzle in Group I and e-brochure in Group II. Pain and discomforts of the participants with Cornell Musculoskeletal Disorders Questionnaire, ergonomic risks with Rapid Office Stress Assessment, physical activity with International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form and Physical Activity Self-Efficacy Scale, exercise behavior with Exercise Benefits/Barriers Scale, Exercise Stages of Change Questionnaire were assessed before and after the training program. In addition, the knowledge levels of the participants after the training were evaluated with the Knowledge Level Questionnaire. After the training, there was a significant improvement in pain, ergonomic risk, physical activity self-efficacy and perception of exercise benefit/obstacle in both groups (p<0.05). Besides, the changes obtained in pain, ergonomic risk and exercise behavior scores and knowledge level in Group I compared to Group II were found to be statistically superior (p<0.05). As a result, it was found that both training programs provided effective results in physiotherapy students receiving distance education, but video-based interactive training had superior effects on pain and discomfort risk, ergonomic risk, exercise behavior and knowledge level compared to e-brochure-based training.

UZAKTAN EĞİTİM ALAN FİZYOTERAPİ ÖĞRENCİLERİNDE ÇEVRİMİÇİ FİZİKSEL AKTİVİTE VE ERGONOMİ EĞİTİMİNİN ETKİNLİĞİ

Year 2022, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 1 - 17, 15.04.2022
