Abstract

One of the most important decisious for people is to choose a profession. New professions, appearing makes difficult to choose one. It is known that, skills and interest ranks first when choosing a profession. But when individuals choose a profession, the prestige of it is one of the effective factors on the behaviors of choos- ing a profession. Aim of this study is to find out what occupations are thought to be prestig- ious by the students of general high school and religious high school and the reasons of this. And also the aim is to find out if there are differences between the reasons of prestigious occupations of the students of high school and religious high school. In our study, the amount of money is important for the students of religious high school but for the general high school students the importance of occupation in the society is accepted to be important .

GENEL LİSE VE İMAM HATİP LİSESİ SON SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN MESLEKLERİ PRESTİJ YÖNÜNDEN ALGILAMALARI VE ALGILAMALARINI ETKİLEYEN BAZI FAKTÖRLER

Abstract

İnsanların yaşam dönemleri içinde vermesi gereken önemli kararlardan birisi de meslek seçimidir. Ortaya çıkan yeni meslekler, meslek seçimini oldukça zorlaştırmaktadır. Meslek seçiminde ise insanların yetenek ve ilgilerinin daima birinci sırada yer aldığı herkes tarafından bilinmektedir. Ancak bireylerin mesleği seçerken, meslek seçimi davranışları üzerinde etki eden faktörlerden birisi de mesleğin prestijidir. Çalışmanın amacı meslek lisesi öğrencileri ile genel lise öğrencilerinin kendileri için prestij sahibi meslekleri ve bu meslekleri prestijli olarak görmelerinin nedenlerini ortaya koymaktır. Aynı zamanda meslek lisesi öğrencileri ile genel lise öğrencilerinin meslek prestiji ve nedenleri arasında farklılık olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmamızda meslek lisesi öğrencileri arasında meslekte kazanılacak para miktarı en önemli iken genel lisede ise mesleğin toplumdaki önemi en önemli prestij değeri saygınlık olarak ortaya çıkmıştır.
