Üniversite Öğrencilerine Yönelik İş Bulma Kaygısı Ölçeğinin Geliştirilmesi: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Abstract

İşsizlik, günümüzün yaygın problemlerinden biri haline dönüşmektedir. Ekonomik koşullar, teknolojik ilerlemeler, küresel salgın gibi birçok faktör işsizliğin artışında önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. İşsizlik verileri, bu problemin tüm yaş grupları açısından bir risk faktörü olduğunu ortaya koysa da özellikle gençlerin işsizlikten daha fazla etkilenen bir grup olduğu görülmektedir. Genç nüfustaki artış, arz-talep dengesizliğine yol açmakta ve üniversite mezuniyeti sonrası bireylerin nitelikli işlere yerleşme oranları giderek düşmektedir. Bu durum ise üniversite öğrencileri arasında iş bulmaya yönelik kaygıların artmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin iş bulamamaya yönelik kaygılarını ortaya koyan geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı geliştirmektir. Çalışma kapsamında 2 farklı örneklem grubundan veri toplanmıştır. İlk örneklem grubu için 456 üniversite öğrencisinden veri toplanmış ve elde edilen verilerle, açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. İkinci örneklem grubunda ise 862 üniversite öğrencisinden veri toplanmış ve elde edilen verilerle doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ölçeğin 10 madde ve tek faktörden oluşan bir yapı sergilediği bulunmuştur. Doğrulaycı faktör analizi sonucunda ise, 10 maddelik ölçeğin iyi uyum değerlerine sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca güvenirlik çalışmaları, ölçeğin iyi düzeyde güvenirliğe sahip olduğu göstermiştir. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular, iş bulma kaygısı ölçeğinin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu ortaya koymakta ve üniversite öğrencileri açısından bu problemin tespit edilmesine kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir.

Development of the Job Finding Anxiety Scale for University Students: Validity and Reliability Study

Abstract

Unemployment is becoming one of today's common problems. Many factors such as economic conditions, technological advances, and the global epidemic play an important role in the increase in unemployment. Although unemployment data reel that it is a risk factor for all age groups, young people are affected more severely. The increasing young population causes an imbalance in supply and demand, and the rate of placement in qualified jobs after a university degree is gradually decreasing. This situation increases the anxiety about finding a job among university students. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool that reveals university students' anxiety about finding a job. The data were collected from 2 sample groups. For the first sample group, data were collected from 456 university students and exploratory factor analysis was performed with the obtained data. In the second sample group, data were collected from 862 university students and confirmatory factor analysis was performed with the obtained data. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, it was found that the scale exhibited a structure consisting of 10 items and a single factor. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, it was seen that the 10-item scale had good fit values. In addition, reliability studies have shown that the scale has a good level of reliability. The findings reveal that the job anxiety scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool and show that it can be used to detect this problem for university students.
