Adaptive Reuse and Heritage Perception: A User-Based Comparative Analysis of Two Historic Structures in Bursa

Abstract

Abstract. User reviews shared on digital platforms today provide qualitative data on the perception of cultural heritage sites. This study examines the impact of different management models on user perceptions through the use of two refunctioned buildings in Bursa, the Kitapevi Hotel and the Balibey Han. The analysis, supported by text mining and AHP methods, was conducted under the headings of architectural continuity, cultural sustainability, and user experience. The study aims to reveal the role of user-centered evaluation models in preserving cultural heritage and contribute to the literature in this regard.
