Abstract

Birleşmiş Milletler örgütü insan haklarının korunması ve geliştirilmesi amacıyla şimdiye kadar yedi temel sözleşme kabul etmiştir. Bu sözleşmelerde tanınan haklara taraf devletlerin saygı gösterip göstermediğini denetlemek ve bu alanlarda sağlanan gelişmeleri izlemek amacıyla komiteler kurulmuştur. Komiteler denetim görevini beş ayrı yolla yerine getirmektedirler. Bunlar; rapor, bireysel şikayet, devletlerarası şikayet, soruşturma ve düzenli ziyaret yöntemidir
