THE LINGUISTIC FEAUTURES OF FESTIVAL MESSAGES TEXTS OVER CELL PHONES

Abstract

In this study, sms messages sent during festivals are evaluated by sociolinguistics viewpoint. The linguistics features (lexical, syntax) of sent messages and socioeconomics situation of senders are compared, and the differences from standard language is analyzed. In the study icons, abbreviations, opening and closing rituals in messages are illustrated in terms of gender of senders. The normal messages and answer messages are compared out of some total 181 festivals messages in view of grammar and some expressions. Besides some expressions in festivals messages are interpreted in terms of social influence and correlation with collectivist culture. The study analyses in what conditions the social environment that in focus of best wishes is growing.

CEP TELEFONU ÜZERİNDEN GÖNDERİLEN BAYRAM MESAJLARININ DİLSEL ÖZELLİKLERİ

Abstract

Öz Bu çalışmada cep telefonu aracılığıyla gönderilen bayram mesajları toplumdilbilim açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Gönderilen mesajların dilsel özellikleri (sözcük, sözdizim vb) ve mesaj göndericilerinin sosyo-ekonomik özellikleri arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı irdelenmiş, SMS aracılığıyla gönderilen mesajların standart dilden farklılıkları sözcük, sözdizim açısından tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada mesajlarda kullanılan görsel öğelerin, kısaltmaların, açılış ve kapanış ritüellerinin cinsiyete göre dağılımı belirlenmiştir. Toplam 181 bayram mesajı üzerinden yapılan çalışmada normal mesajlar ile cevap olarak gönderilen mesajlar dilbilgisel ve içerdiği ifadeler açısından karşılaştırmaya tabi tutulmuştur. Ayrıca bayram mesajlarındaki kimi ifadelerin sosyal çevre faktörü ve toplulukçu kültür ile olan ilişkileri de yorumlanmıştır. Bayram mesajlarındaki iyi dileklerin odağındaki sosyal çevrenin hangi koşullarda genişlediği üzerinde durulmuştur.
