Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between health literacy and e-healthcare consumption. The universe of the research is the province of Duzce. Each individual, young, middle and advanced age group who lives in Duzce city center and uses e-health services has been accepted as a research unit. In the research, convenience sampling method was used. And data was obtained from 400 people with survey technique. Frequency, factor and correlation analyzes were applied to the collected data. According to the results of the factor analysis, five factors related to health literacy have emerged (to be able to understand the information about health, to care about healthy living, to create a healthy environment, to approve health-related decisions, to understand the state of emergency health). Two factors related to the use of e-pulse have emerged (benefiting from existing health services, using past service records). According to the results of the correlation analysis, the dimension with the highest correlation between health literacy and e-pulse emerged between the dimension of understanding health information and the use of e-pulse. The lowest correlation emerged between the understanding of emergency health services and e-pulse usage dimensions.
