11.Yüzyıl İngiltere’sinden Kapsamlı Bir Kayıt Defteri: Domesday Book
A Comprehensive Registry Book From 11th Century England: Domesday Book

Anahtar Kelimeler– Domesday Book, Vergi, Feodalite, Toprak Sahipleri, I.William.
Abstract
Domesday Book is a important source for the history of England. As well as being an indicator of the feudal structure of the country, it also provides us with information about the economic, geographical and demographic structure of the country. William, conquered England in 1066. 19 years later, he ordered a survey of his lands. Although it is generally likened to survey books, the variety of information it contains makes it different from its contemporaries. It is a basic source to obtain information about population, settlements, geographical characteristics, economic situation, class system, administration and administrative regions of the country. Although there is a great deal of foreign scholarship on it, the purpose and method of the research remains a mystery and continues to be debated. There is no detailed study on Domesday Book in our country. The object of this study is to eliminate the deficiency in this matter. Domesday Book has always been an impressive and intriguing book for medieval researchers. Thanks to the Domesday Book we can gain invaluable insight into the economy and society of Norman England. In this study, Domesday Book is discussed in general terms and the aspects that have been discussed until today.
Keywords– Domesday Book, Tax, Feudality, Landowners, William I.
