In this study, it was tried to determine the attitudes of pre-service teachers towards planning teaching. Data in the study were collected from 387 senior students (236 females and 151 males) majoring in three different teaching programs at Gazi University Gazi Faculty of Education, in the fall semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, using the "Attitude Scale for Planning Teaching", developed by Çetin (2019). The descriptive research is in the screening model. In the analysis of the data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Shapiro-Wilk tests, as well as other analysis results, were used to obtain evidence with regards to the distribution's normality. After obtaining the evidence for the normality of distribution, t-Test and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were performed for independent groups. In addition, the effect size eta-square values were calculated to determine the effect of the independent variables on the attitudes towards planning teaching. As a result of the research, it was observed that the attitudes of pre-service teachers towards planning teaching differed according to the following variables of the students: gender, academic achievement, attaching importance to course planning, perception about the department, and attaching importance to the courses taught in the department.
