Aim & Scope

The primary goal of the "Journal of the History of Education Studies" (JHES) is to advance research on the history of education across all educational levels (preschool-graduate), both locally and internationally, within the framework of all components of education.

JHES is a journal based at Amasya University Faculty of Education that publishes local, national, and international studies in the field of education history. Articles on all subject areas and levels of education, including institutional history, higher education history, adult education, intellectual foundations of education, biographies of important educators, educational reforms, and historical processes of educational policies, are accepted for all periods from the past to the present related to formal and non-formal education.
As a peer-reviewed journal, JHES prioritizes research based on primary sources in the history of education. The journal also publishes book reviews that contribute to the field of educational history.
