Author Guidelines

JHES publication language is Turkish. Articles submitted to JHES must have a similarity rate of less than 15% excluding references. Our journal adopts the principle of "unformatted submission". Authors can submit their full-text articles in Turkish and English in any format or format.

Articles submitted to the Journal of the History of Education Studies, if accepted for publication, must be prepared according to the American Psychological Association's (APA) 7th edition of the journal's article template, including the reference system, footnote formatting, and bibliography organization.

Please submit the following files in the specified file formats when submitting your article:

  1. Full-text article including author information (Author names, affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID addresses must be included.)
  2. Anonymous article with author information removed (All personal identification information in the file content must be deleted along with the file properties.)
  3. Copyright transfer form (Must be prepared using the template provided by the journal and signed by all authors.)
  4. Similarity report in PDF format obtained with plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate for the submitted article
  5. Official ethics committee decision in PDF format for research requiring ethics committee approval
  6. If additional files are required for the article, they should be submitted in the "Appendices" section of the full-text articles.

JHES will submit the necessary applications for indexing in national and international databases after the first issue is published and an e-ISSN number is obtained. After these processes are completed, it is planned to start accepting English articles.
The first issue of JHES is planned to be published in June 2026.
