Publication Ethics

The Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences is based on the principles of honesty, impartiality, and transparency in scientific publishing. All studies published in the journal are evaluated in accordance with national and international publication ethics standards.

The journal is committed to adhering to the ethical principles determined by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

These ethical rules and responsibilities are summarized below.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
• Authors prepare and submit their studies originally. • Authors ensure that the citations and quotations they use in their submitted articles are accurate and complete. • Authors must state and explain any potential conflicts of interest in their submitted articles. • The editor, reviewers, and section editors may request raw data from the author regarding their article. Therefore, the author must have the raw data ready for submission. • In studies requiring an ethics report, the author is obligated to submit the ethics report along with the article. • Authors are required to inform the journal administration if any errors or inaccuracies are found in their article during the pre-screening, evaluation, editing, or publication stages, so that the article can be corrected or withdrawn. • Authors cannot pursue the same article in two journals simultaneously. Once the process is completed and the article is rejected in one journal, they can submit it to the other journal. Articles published in another journal cannot be submitted to the Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences. • If it is necessary to add authors, change the author order, or remove authors from an article that has already begun the evaluation process in the Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, an application can be made to the journal administration with the approval of all authors. The journal administration will review the application and inform the responsible author of the decision.

Ethical Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
Editors and section editors of the Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences must adhere to the ethical duties and responsibilities outlined in the "CODE OF CONDUCT AND BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES FOR JOURNAL EDITORS" and "COPE BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES FOR JOURNAL EDITORS" published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which can be found on our Dergipark page. These duties and responsibilities are summarized below.

Editors' Relationships with Readers
Editors are obligated to consider feedback from readers, researchers, and practitioners regarding published works and to take the necessary actions and provide the required responses.

Editors' Relationships with Authors
• Editors make their decisions regarding articles based on the originality of the article, the journal's objectives, and ethical guidelines. • They should only consider articles with high originality, prepared in accordance with the journal's objectives and ethical guidelines. • Unless there is a compelling reason otherwise, editors and section editors should consider positive peer reviews. • The editor must respond to requests and opinions from authors with feedback.

Editors' Relationships with Reviewers
• Reviewers should be selected according to the article's subject matter. • Care should be taken to ensure there are no conflicts of interest or conflicts of interest between reviewers and authors. • The editor is responsible for guiding reviewers during the article evaluation process and providing them with the information they request. • The editor is obligated to keep the identities of the author and reviewer confidential through blind peer review. • The editor must take the necessary precautions and provide warnings to ensure that reviewers evaluate the article in a timely, impartial, and scientific manner. • Efforts should be made to increase the number of reviewers for our journal.

Editors' Relationships with the Advisory Board
Editors must consider the opinions and suggestions of the advisory board regarding articles.

Editors' Relationships with the Journal Owner and Publisher
Decisions made by editors regarding articles should be independent of the journal owner and publisher.

Editors' Submission of Articles for Publication

Editors are responsible for ensuring that articles submitted for publication in the journal adhere to the journal's publication principles, objectives, and international standards.

Protection of Personal Data
Editors are responsible for not disclosing the personal information of article authors to third parties without their consent.

Ethics Committee, Human and Animal Rights
Editors are responsible for protecting human and animal rights in articles containing studies on humans and animals. They are responsible for rejecting articles where ethics committee approval is not provided for studies requiring such a report.

Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
Editors are responsible for protecting the intellectual property rights of all articles submitted to and published in the journal.

Complaints Received by Editors
Editors are responsible for providing clear and informative answers to complaints from reviewers, authors, and readers.

Conflicts of Interest and Relationships
Editors are responsible for taking precautions against potential conflicts of interest and relationships that may arise between authors, reviewers, and third parties to ensure the impartial and independent evaluation processes of articles are completed.

Editors are responsible for ensuring that articles are evaluated impartially and independently, and for taking precautions against potential conflicts of interest and relationships that may arise between authors, reviewers, and third parties. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
• Reviewers are responsible for not evaluating an article if there is a conflict of interest or relationship with the author. • Reviewers are responsible for evaluating the article while adhering to the principles of confidentiality and impartiality. • Reviewers may not use the submitted work for any purpose until the evaluation process is complete and it is published. • Reviewers are responsible for not allowing the authors' gender, nationality, religious beliefs, or political views to influence the evaluation. • Reviewers should use polite and constructive language when evaluating the article. They should avoid comments and statements that are insulting, defamatory, or hostile. • Reviewers are responsible for evaluating the article in a timely manner and in accordance with ethical rules.

ERCIYES JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURE AND ANIMAL SCIENCES PUBLICATION POLICY

Aim and Scope
Our journal aims to publish studies prepared in the fields of horticulture, plant protection, plant and animal production, biotechnology, biosystems engineering, molecular biology and genetics, aquaculture, agricultural economics, agricultural mechanization, agricultural structures and irrigation, field crops, soil science and plant nutrition, and zootechnics. Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences is an international peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original studies related to research in the fields of agriculture and natural sciences. Articles are published in Turkish and English.

Open Access Policy
Articles published in Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences are available as full text open access on our journal website. We believe this will contribute more to science.

Privacy Statement
Confidential information regarding articles published on the Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences website and articles under review will only be used in accordance with the stated purposes of the journal; It will not be used for any other purpose or made available to other individuals.

Publication Fee
Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences does not charge any processing or publication fees for articles submitted.

Archiving
All articles published by Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences are archived in full text, including the table of contents, cover page, and complete issue files, on the DERGİPARK system and made accessible to all users.

Advertising and Sponsorship
Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences does not accept any advertising or sponsorship and does not include them on its publication page.

3. I acknowledge and declare that the article is original and has not been previously published domestically or internationally in Turkish or a foreign language, or is currently under review for publication,
4. I acknowledge and declare that the scientific and ethical responsibility belongs to us, and in the event that other authors cannot be reached; I acknowledge and declare that all authors are aware of the work and that I, as the first author of the article, assume the responsibilities of the other authors.

Authors submitting articles to the Erciyes Journal of Agriculture and Animal Sciences are required to sign the "Copyright Transfer Agreement" outlined above. This agreement can be downloaded from the article submission page, signed by all authors, scanned in PDF format, and uploaded to the system.
