Peer-Review Process (Double-Blind Referee)
• As ETUSBED Journal, our primary goal is to pass the pre-control process of the studies to the evaluation stage as quickly as possible. At this point, it is important to consider the writing and publishing principles of the journal at the point of accelerating the process.
• The evaluation process is carried out according to the double-blind referee system. At least 2 referees are appointed for each study that comes to the journal and passes the pre-control phase.
• The times foreseen for the processes are the times that are expected to be complied with in ordinary cases. Situations arising from extraordinary circumstances may cause the periods to be extended.
Pre-control
• Studies submitted to our journal are subject to preliminary evaluation with a pre-control form within the framework of the journal's rules.
• If there are corrections to be made by the author in the study, feedback is given with the pre-control form.
• For the studies that are not found to be deficient in the pre-control, the referee evaluation process is started.
• The estimated time for this stage is 3-5 days.
Referee assignment
• At this stage, a suitable referee is searched to evaluate the study, taking into account the subject and field of the studie.
• At the first stage, four referee candidates are determined for each study. The reason for this is to make an offer to the other referee(s) without wasting time if one of the two referees to whom we will offer arbitration does not accept the offer.
• Referee candidates who are offered referee are given 7 days to accept the offer. A new referee is appointed to replace the referees who do not respond to the proposal within this period.
• The estimated time for this stage is 3-5 days.
Evaluation
• The referees who accept the referee proposal are given 15 days for evaluation. In obligatory cases, this period can be extended for 7 more days at the request of the public.
• Evaluation results are shared directly with the author after all referees complete the evaluation process.
• The estimated time for this stage is 15-21 days.
• At the end of the period, the articles that receive a positive and a negative opinion are definitely sent to a third referee (In this case, the process will extend the foreseen period by at least 21-28 days).
Note: If the evaluations of the referees are short and superficial, do not contribute to the study, and do not contain sufficient explanation and justification, the evaluation of the relevant referees (evaluation suggestions including the rejection decision) is not taken into account. With the decision of the relevant editor, the work is sent to new referees for evaluation.
Author
• In this process, the author is responsible for making the changes and corrections suggested by the referees. If the referees want to see the study again after the proposed regulations, the changes made by the author are sent to the referee for final control and the study is entitled to be published if the referees approve. If the corrections suggested by the referees are not made, the work loses its right to be published.
• Necessary controls are made by the editors as a third opinion in the studies that are recommended to be changed and corrected by the referees but are not wanted to be seen again, and the result is reported to the author.
• The estimated time for this stage is 7-15 days.
Publication
• The publication stage is started for the studies that are edited in line with the recommendations of the referees and the editor.
• At this stage, the author organizes her article according to the publication template.
• The author uploads his work, which he arranged according to the publication format, to the system, and the work is once again inserted into the similarity rate detection program. After the studies that meet the determined similarity rates are checked for the last time, they are included in the studies ready for publication.
• The estimated time for this stage is 5-10 days.
