Abstract

Sunulan çalışma, inek ve düvelerde gebeliğin erken tanısında hızlı progesteron testinin uygulanabilirliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Östrusu takiben tohumlanan hayvanlardan tohumlamayı izleyen 18., 21. ve 24. günlerde hızlı progesteron testi için kan alındı. Tohumlamadan sonraki 35. günde ultrasonografik muayene yapılarak gebeliğin erken tanısında hızlı progesteron testinin uygulanabilirliği tespit edilmeye çalışıldı. Sonuç olarak, hızlı progesteron testinin sığırlarda gebeliğin erken tanısında etkin bir şekilde kullanılabileceği kanısına varıldı

The Use of Rapid Progesterone Test for Early Diagnosis of Pregnancy in Cows and Heifers

Abstract

The objective of the present study was to determine the benefit of rapid progesterone test (EIA) for early diagnosis of pregnancy in cows and heifers. Blood samples were collected on days 18, 21 and 24 post-inseminations in cows with natural oestrus. On the 35th day (of post-insemination), ultrasound examinations were made for verification of the progesterone test. As a result, it was suggested that rapid progesterone test could be used effectively for early diagnosis of pregnancy in cattle
