KLİNİK ÖNCESİ VE KLİNİK DÖNEMDE TIP ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ANATOMİ EĞİTİMİNDE KADAVRA KULLANIMI İLE İLGİLİ DEĞERLENDİRMELERİ

Abstract

Tıp öğrencilerinin kadavra temelli eğitime karşı düşüncelerini değerlendirmek ve sınıflara göre kadavra üzerinde eğitime bakışın sınıflara göre nasıl değiştiğini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tüm soruların cevaplandırıldığı toplam 212 anketten elde edilen veriler değerlendirildi. Araştırma görevlileriyle etkileşimde bulunmanın kendini rahatlatacağı belirtenlerin oranı birinci ve ikinci sınıflarda %86, üçüncü ve altıncı sınıflarda ise %72 üzerinde olduğu belirlendi. Kadavraların alınması, tahnit edilmesi ve hazırlanması ile ilgili bir dersin yaşanan korku ve stresi azaltacağına birinci sınıfların üçüncü sınıflara göre (p=0.001) daha olumlu bakmakta olduğu tespit edildi. Çalışmamız kadavraların; öğrenciler için maketlerden daha iyi bir eğitim metodu olduğunu, temel bilimler ile klinik bilimleri ilişkilendirmede önemli bir araç olduğunu, doktor kimliğinin oluşmasında pozitif yönde bir etken olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca öğrencileri duygusal ve düşünsel açıdan kadavralarla karşılaşmaya hazırlayan bir ders yapılmasının, öğrencilerde yaşanacak olan korku ve stresi azaltması yönünden gerekliliği tespit edildi

Attitudes of Pre-Clinical and Clinical Stage Medical School Students Toward Using Cadaver in Anatomy Education

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the opinions of medical school students on cadaver based education (CBE) and how their views have changed with their grade. The findings obtained from 212 surveys in which all the questions answered were evaluated. More than 86% of the first and second year students indicated that interaction with the anatomy research assistants in dissection room would relieve students temper while this ratio was around 72% for third and sixth year students. A lecture that aims to protect students from the emotional and spiritual effects of encountering with cadaver was adopted more by first grade students compared to the third grades (p= 0.001). This study showed that working with cadavers is much better method compare to working with models. Also, CBE is an important way to correlate between basic science and clinical applications. Moreover, it was retained that a course which prepares students emotionally and spiritually to cadaver encounter is would reduce the students stress and fear
