Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

This journal covers primarily bacteriology, parasitology, virology, public health, epidemiology, vaccine production, wildlife studies,  laboratory quality management systems, and all other veterinary sciences.

Journal of Etlik Veterinary Microbiology is subject to research and publication ethics standards. Plagiarism can lead to the rejection of an article even after acceptance. The editors act in accordance with the relevant international publication and research ethics rules (COPE guidelines, CSI White Paper on Publication Ethics) in case of any ethical misuse. 

The journal's policies on Human Rights and Informed Consent can summarize as “Discuss intellectual property frankly, Be conscious of multiple roles, Follow informed-consent rules, Respect confidentiality, and privacy, Tap into ethics resources”. You can find more information from American Psychological Association (APA) website (Smith, D. (2003). Five principles for research ethics. Monitor on psychology, 34(1), 56.). For all ethical issues, the journal is accepted the APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct. The Journal also refer to the ICMJE Recommendations for the Protection of Research Participants. Medical research involving human subjects must be conducted according to the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki

Assuming that the scientific studies submitted for publication in our journal are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on Welfare and Protection of Animals Used for Experimental and Other Scientific Purposes with European Convention for the Protection of Vertebrate Animals used for Experimental and Other Scientific Purposes and that all necessary institutional ethics and legal permissions are taken, the journal management does not accept responsibility as a matter of responsibility. If the “Animal” element is used in the study, the authors must state that they protect animal rights in their studies and that they have taken approval from the relevant ethics committee. Our journal expects and supports the compliance of 3R (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement) rules in the use of experimental animals in accordance with the European consensus platform for alternative strategies in scientific studies.

Approval of different ethics committees or permission (for example, non-clinical and/or clinical research ethics committee approval, related authority approval) during the evaluation of the discontinuation of the review of the articles that are required to receive the necessary authorizations are warned, the publication process is continued after the necessary permissions are completed. The approval information should be added to the material and method section or under the related title.

It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that all permits (such as work permits for wildlife) are obtained from the relevant institutions and organizations in accordance with international and national regulations. The journal cannot be held responsible for this matter. 

The journal encourages the sharing of the raw data in the original articles and voluntarily depositing the articles' data.
