Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Publication Policy

  • Economics, Management, Politics publishes scholarly work in all fields of economics and administrative sciences, with a particular focus on business administration, economics, political science, public administration, management science, and international trade.
  • The journal is published electronically twice a year, in June and December.
  • The journal operates under a Diamond Open Access model, providing free and unrestricted access to readers while charging no fees to authors at any stage of the publication process, including submission, peer review, editing, or production.
  • Authors retain the copyright to their work, and all content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). All content published in the journal is freely and immediately accessible worldwide, with no embargo period.
  • Manuscripts submitted for consideration must align with the aims and scope of the journal.
  • Only original papers that have not been previously published and are not under review elsewhere will be considered for publication.
  • Manuscripts prepared in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines and successfully passing peer review are accepted for publication.
  • The journal is committed to confidentiality throughout the review process, ensuring that submitted manuscripts are kept secure and that information obtained during review is not used for purposes other than scholarly evaluation. In line with the principle of scientific transparency, reviewer and editor evaluations regarding published works may be shared with third parties upon request, solely for scientific purposes.
  • Once a manuscript has been submitted, no author’s name may be removed from the list of contributors, no new names may be added, and the order of authors may not be changed without the written consent of all authors.
  • If minor errors are identified in a published article, authors may submit a correction, which will be published upon editorial approval. In cases of major errors or ethical violations, the article may be retracted following the appropriate procedures. Where there is reason to suspect research or publication misconduct, the editors may issue an “expression of concern.” In all matters related to corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) are followed.
  • For studies requiring ethics committee approval, such approval must be obtained, documented, and clearly stated within the manuscript. The following types of research require ethics committee approval:

                    - Any research that involves collecting data from participants through surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, experiments, or other data-gathering techniques.

                    - The experimental or scientific use of humans and animals (including materials or data derived from them).

                    - Clinical research conducted on human subjects.

                    - Research conducted on animals.

                    - Retrospective studies involving personal data, in accordance with the applicable personal data protection law.

Ethical Principles

Economics, Management, Politics adheres to national and international standards regarding research and publication ethics. The journal follows the Interuniversity Board’s Directive on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics, as well as the International Ethical Publishing Principles issued by organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA).

The journal refuses to publish manuscripts that do not comply with internationally accepted ethical standards. Articles found to contain ethical violations after publication will be retracted. If there is suspicion of an ethical breach in a manuscript submitted to or published in the journal, the Editorial Board will review the case. The journal will contact the author(s) to request explanation. If the author(s) fail to respond within the specified time, the journal will contact the author(s)’ affiliated institution to request an investigation.

For published articles determined to contain ethical violations, the journal will communicate with the authors’ affiliated institution to ensure appropriate action is taken against the author(s). The article text will be removed from the journal’s website, and the corresponding page will display the metadata along with a notice stating “Article Containing Ethical Violation.” The author(s)’ account will be deactivated, and all future submissions from them will be rejected.
