Manuscript Submission Guide

Manuscript submissions are accepted exclusively through the DergiPark portal. Therefore, the corresponding author must be registered with DergiPark. Registration can be completed at https://dergipark.org.tr/en/register. Once registration is complete, the submission portal can be accessed from the "Submit a Manuscript" button located under the "Explore" column on the right-hand side of the journal homepage.

The manuscript submission process consists of five steps, each of which is explained in detail below.

Step 1: Manuscript Information
On the first page of the submission portal, you will be asked to enter the manuscript details. First, select the type of manuscript you are submitting (e.g., research article, theoretical article, systematic review or meta-analysis, book review, etc.). After choosing the manuscript type, you will be asked to select at least one subject area from the drop-down menu. Next, you must indicate the primary language of the manuscript, provide the title of the article, at least three keywords, and an abstract. The title, keywords, and abstract must be submitted in both Turkish and English. However, for manuscripts authored by individuals who are not Turkish, please provide the English versions of the title, keywords, and abstract in both the Turkish and English fields. The editorial office will subsequently prepare the Turkish versions upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication.

Once you have entered the manuscript metadata, you will need to check the declaration at the bottom of the page stating: “I declare that I have not sent my article to another journal for simultaneous review”. After confirming this, you may proceed to the second step, where you will enter the author information.

Step 2: Authors
In this step, you will be asked to enter the author details. Since the submitting author is already a registered DergiPark user, all of their registered information will be retrieved automatically. If any of the mandatory fields required by our journal* are missing, this will be indicated by a red cross icon in the corresponding row under the "Author Details" column. To complete the missing information, click the "Edit" button under the "Actions" column, fill in the required fields in the author information form, and save.

To add additional authors, enter the author’s email address in the "Author's e-mail to add" field and click the "Add Author" button.

  • If the author is already a registered DergiPark user, entering their registered email address will automatically pull their information from the DergiPark database, which will be displayed in a pop-up author information form. Once you have confirmed that all required fields are completed, click "Save" and the author will be added.
  • If the author is not a DergiPark user, after entering their email address and clicking "Add Author", a blank author information form will open. You must complete the required fields and click "Save" to add the author. After completing the author entry process, you may proceed to the next step, where you will upload the manuscript files.

*All authors are required to provide their ORCID information. If you already have an ORCID account, you can log in at https://orcid.org/signin to retrieve your ORCID iD. If you do not yet have an account, you can register for free at https://orcid.org/register to obtain one.

Step 3: Files

In this step, you will be asked to upload the files related to your manuscript. Two files are mandatory on this page:

  1. The anonymized version of the full manuscript with all author details removed (for blind review).
  2. The title page containing the author and manuscript information.

For manuscripts that require ethics committee approval, you must also upload a copy of the ethics approval form by clicking the "Upload Supplementary File" button. For more details on studies requiring ethics approval, please refer to the Ethical Principles and Publication Policy section. If you wish to upload any additional files, you can do so by clicking the "Upload Supplementary File" button and selecting the appropriate file type from the drop-down list.

  • Note: All manuscripts submitted to Economics, Management, Politics undergo a plagiarism check through intihal.net™, which is fully integrated with the DergiPark submission portal and provided free of charge to authors. Once you upload your files and proceed to the next step, the full manuscript file will be automatically sent to intihal.net™ for similarity analysis, and a report will be generated. The submission process cannot be completed until the similarity report is ready. While the report is being prepared, you may continue to complete the next two steps of the submission process. Preparing the report may take some time, and you will be notified by email once it is available. At the final step, based on the results of the similarity report, you may either complete the submission or return to the "Files" step to revise and re-upload your manuscript. Each new version you upload will be resubmitted for similarity analysis. You can repeat this process until you are confident that your manuscript is ready for submission. If multiple reports are generated, all of them will be forwarded to the editor. For more information about intihal.net™, click here.

Step 4: Additional Information
In this step, you will be asked to provide supplementary information related to your manuscript. If your study was conducted as part of a project or supported by an institution, this must be indicated here. Any conflicts of interest or other relevant ethical declarations should also be disclosed at this stage. You may also acknowledge individuals or institutions you wish to thank in this section.

Step 5: Review and Send
In the final step of the submission process, you will be asked to review all the information entered in the previous stages. After verifying the details, you must read and confirm the checkboxes listed in the Submission Checklist to complete the submission. Additionally, if you have any notes for the editors, you may provide them in the "Notes to Editor" section.

As noted above, the submission cannot be finalized until the plagiarism check has been completed. If your similarity report is not yet available, you may remain on the "Review and Send" page until you receive an email notification confirming that the report has been generated, or you may exit and return later to continue from where you left off. Once the similarity check is completed, the notification email will include a direct link that redirects you to the "Files" page. Alternatively, you can access the list of all your submissions at https://dergipark.org.tr/en/user/my-articles, where you can edit and finalize any incomplete submissions.
