SİLENOS’UN KAHKAHASI: NİETZSCHE’DE YAŞAMIN OLUMLANMASI

Abstract

Kahkaha, Nietzsche'nin yazılarında –ilk eserinden son eserine kadar- her vakit kendine yer bulan bir olgu olsa da Nietzsche'nin gülmenin neliğine ilişkin iç görüsünün keskinliğinde veya onun düşüncesinin dışa vurulmasında anahtar bir kavram olarak görev üstlenmemiştir. Peki, Nietzsche kahkaha atan bir filozof mudur? Evet, çoğu zaman kahkaha atan bir filozoftur. Nietzsche’nin “kahkaha atan bir filozof” olarak kabul edilmesi hem önemli hem de ilginç bir durum olarak değerlendirilebilir. Çünkü kahkaha ilk olarak Nietzsche'nin açık bir felsefi okuması değildir; ikincisi, yakın zamana kadar çoğunlukla da istisnai bir okuma olmuştur. Bu yorumun günümüzde yaygınlığı Nietzsche’nin tek bir bakış açısı ile ele alınmasının felsefesine haksızlık olacağı yönündeki eğilimden ileri gelmektedir. Bu makalede, kahkahanın, Nietzsche felsefesindeki rolüne Silenos miti üzerinden değinilecektir. Daha doğrusu, kahkahanın Nietzsche için son derece ilgi çekici ve önemli bir olgu olduğu, hatta onun düşüncesinin bazı yönleriyle yalnızca trajik değil, aynı zamanda “komik” olduğu vurgulanacaktır.

THE LAUGHTER OF SILENOS: THE AFFIRMATION OF LIFE IN NIETZSCHE

Abstract

Although laughter is a phenomenon that is always present in Nietzsche's writings - from his first to his last work - it does not serve as a key concept in the sharpness of Nietzsche's insight into what it is to laugh or in the expression of his thought. So, is Nietzsche a laughing philosopher? Yes, he is a philosopher who laughs most of the time. The fact that Nietzsche is considered a “laughing philosopher” is both important and interesting. Firstly, because laughter is not an explicit philosophical reading of Nietzsche; secondly, until recently, it was mostly an exceptional reading. The prevalence of this interpretation today stems from the tendency that it would be unfair to Nietzsche's philosophy to treat him from a single point of view. In this article, the role of laughter in Nietzsche's philosophy will be discussed through the myth of Silenus. More precisely, it will be pointed out that laughter is an extremely fascinating and important phenomenon for Nietzsche and that Nietzsche's thought is not only tragic but also ‘comic’ with certain qualities.
