"BİLİM" TASARIMLARININ KISA TARİHİ

Öz

Felsefi düşünce tarihine şöyle bir bakıldığında, herkesin üzerinde anlaştığı bir “bilim” tasarımı ve tanımının olmadığı açıkça görülür; çünkü bilim tarihinde farklı dönemlerde farklı farklı bilim tasarımları oluşturulmuştur. Bilimden anlaşılanlar hep değişmiş ve buna bağlı olarak da farklı tarzda bilim felsefesi yapma anlayışları egemen olmuştur. Günümüzde bilimin doğasını kavrarken bilim tarihi ışığında bir araştırma yapmanın; bilim tarihinin hesaba katılmasının oldukça aydınlatıcı olduğu ve olacağı düşüncesi oldukça ön plana çıkmıştır. Bilimde kuramdan bağımsız gözlem ve deney dilinin olanaksız olduğunu savunan; bilimde metafizik, psikolojik ve sosyolojik unsurları da göz ardı etmeyen günümüz bilim felsefecileri, bilimin işleyişi konusunda bilim tarihini ve insan faktörünü de hesaba katar ve bu yeni anlayışla mantıktan ziyade bilim tarihine vurgu yapılır. Böylece, aslında evrensel bir bilim olduğu anlayışının temelleri de onulmaz derecede sarsılmıştır.

A Brief History of The Ideas of "Science"

Abstract

When having a look at the history of philosophical thought, one can easily apprehend that no philosopher of science is in agreement with each other on the meaning and the idea of "science", because through the history of science there have always been some different kinds of ideas of science. Hence, the understandings of science have been shifted and on the basis of this change different kinds of doing philosophy of science have been preavaling element in both philosophy and science. And it is worth putting forward the concept that in our time while grasping the nature of science, a survey in the light of history of science; in other words, taking into consideration the history of science, has been and will be very illuminating one. Today, there are some leading philosophers of science who held the idea that there can be no theory-free observational and experimental language and that there are some aspects of metaphysical, psychological and sociological things in science. These thinkers highly regard the man's factors and history ofscience in terms of the process ofscience. Thus, with this new understanding of science, there is a sharply return from logic to history of science and this implies that the conception of the universal science is in fact groundless.
