The Criticism of Hume’s Criticism of Religion in terms of his Skeptical and Agnostical Attitude

Year 2011, Issue: 11, 25 - 40, 01.04.2011

Abstract

As it is known, Hume is described as a skeptic and agnostic. Allocating his epistemology to empirical area, the philosopher developed a skeptical and agnostical position concerning beyond the empirical area. Particularly, this is clearly seen in his analysis of causality. But his attitude on religion and God, in my opinion, is not as clear as causality. In this paper, we will try to examine Hume’s approach to the problem of religion in terms of his agnostical and skeptical position

KUŞKUCU VE AGNOSTİK TUTUM BAKIMINDAN DAVID HUME’UN DİN ELEŞTİRİSİNE ELEŞTİREL BİR BAKIŞ

Year 2011, Issue: 11, 25 - 40, 01.04.2011
