A Controversy that Combınes Heidegger and Habermas: The Problem of Truth as World-Dısclosure or Communicative Rationality

Year 2011, Issue: 11, 113 - 136, 01.04.2011

Abstract

The controversy between Heidegger and Habermas hinges on, especially, the comments and interpretations made by various thinkers such as Dallmayr, Bartky, Kompridis, Kolb, Gabardi and others. Most of these comments are related to the problematic views of both philosophers which have arisen from their uncompleted and complicated but also controversial thoughts on the same issue. This article is founded on the reasons of differentiations of their views on the account of meaning such that while Heidegger prevails original conditions of meaning and intelligibility as world-disclosure, as Habermas prevails validity thesis as structuring intersubjectivity in language. The article assumes that establishing the relations among some fundamental concepts as world-disclosure, power of language as disclosing a world, meaning and validity may help to understand the crucial points which these debates hing on

HEIDEGGER VE HABERMAS’I BULUŞTURAN BİR TARTIŞMA: DÜNYA-AÇIKLIĞI YA DA İLETİŞİMSEL USSALLIK OLARAK HAKİKAT SORUNU

Year 2011, Issue: 11, 113 - 136, 01.04.2011
