DELEUZE VE GUATTARI'NİN FELSEFESİNDE İNSAN OLMAYAN’IN EYLEYİCİLİĞİ

Year 2024, Issue: 39, 279 - 298, 16.12.2024

Abstract

THE NON-HUMAN AGENCY IN DELEUZE AND GUATTARI’S PHILOSOPHY

Year 2024, Issue: 39, 279 - 298, 16.12.2024
https://doi.org/10.53844/flsf.1513171

Abstract

Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari offer a significant conceptual framework for understanding human-environment relations, proposing philosophy as a series of concepts that emerge from the more-than-human and the Earth itself. This perspective, rooted in a materialist approach, uses the concept of geophilosophy to envision the creation of a new world for new people. Furthermore, this article emphasizes the role of nonhuman actors in shaping history and society, opening a space to rethink nonhuman entities beyond traditional representations. In this way, geophilosophy centers nonhuman agency and transformative relationships; it also critiques the liberal humanist subject, endowed with status and privilege, challenging this subject’s exclusionary structure. This article, thus, approaches geophilosophy as a spatially centered concept and offers an interdisciplinary framework for examining interactions between philosophy and the nonhuman.
