THE VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY OF "LEARNING AND PERFORMANCE ORIENTATIONS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES QUESTIOANNAIRE-" FOR TURKISH STUDENTS
Abstract
The purpose of this
study is to adapt for Turkish students of
"Learning and Performance Orientations in
Physical Education Classes Questionnaire (LAPOPECQ)" which has been
developed by Papaioannou (1994). All participants who learner to high school
has been went government school in Manisa city. Sample of study was 469 pupils (255
boys and 214 girls). In this study, in order to measure the performance
orientation of these students who are in PE classes and also to measure what
their perception in learning is, the scale, whose origin is in English and
which was developed for Greek students, was adapted into Turkish by making the
validity and reliability study of it. Accordingly, after the oblique rotation
in the principal component analysis, the original items generating the
questionnaire gethared in 5 factors like in the original. However, some factors
of learning and performance orientations were changed place by slide to other
factors. Meaningful level of statistics has been accepted as p< 0.05.
