LİSE VE ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN FİZİKSEL AKTİVİTE DÜZEYİNİN YAŞA VE CİNSİYETE GÖRE İNCELENMESİ

Year 2007, Volume: 12 Issue: 2, 11 - 18, 15.04.2007

Abstract

Bu çalışma lise ve üniversite öğrencilerinin fiziksel aktivite düzeyinin yaşa ve cinsiyete göre incelenmesi
amacıyla yapılmıştı
r. Çalışmaya 200
üniversite (n
klz:110, yaşklz:21.21±2.08 yıl; nerkek:90,
yaş
erkek:22.17±2.07yıl) ve 200 lise (nklz:105, yaşklz:15.98±0.97
yıl n
erkek:95, yaşerkek:16.16±1.03 yıl) olmak üzere
toplam 400 gönüllü öğrenci katılmıştı
r. Çalışmaya katılan
öğrencile
rin fiziksel aktivite düzeyleri "FizikselAktivite Değerlendirme Anketi (FADA)" ile belirlenmiştir. Yapılan 2 x 2 (Yaş/Lise-Üniversite x Cinsiyet/Kız-Erkek) Çok Yönlü
Varyans Analizi sonuçları fiziksel aktivite düzeyinde yaşa (Hotelling's T
2=0.450;
F(
5392)=35.270; p<0.01) ve cinsiyete (Hotelling's T2=0.036;
F(
5392)=2.784; p<0.05) göre anlamlı bir fark olduğunu
belirlemişti
r. Bunun yanında yapılan analizler fiziksel aktivite düzeyinde yaş x
cinsiyet etkileşiminin (Hotelling's T
2=0.016; F(5392)=1.220;
p>0.05) anlamlı olmadığını göstermişti
r. Sonuç olarak bu
çalışmanın bulguları lise ve üniversite öğrencile
rinin fiziksel aktivite düzeyinin
yaş ve cinsiyetten et
kilendiğini göstermiştir. Lise
öğrencile
rinin okul endeksinde ve toplam fiziksel aktivite düzeyinde üniversite öğrencilerinden daha yüksek aktivite düzeyine sahip oldukları belirlenirken, okul endeksinde kızların, ulaşım endeksinde ise erkeklerin daha yüksek aktivite düzeyine sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir

EVALUATION OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVELS OF HIGH-SCHOOL AND UNIVERSTIY STUDENTS ACCORDING TO AGE AND GENDER

Year 2007, Volume: 12 Issue: 2, 11 - 18, 15.04.2007

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the
physical activity levels of high-school and university students according to
age and gender. For this purpose
200 university
(nfemaıe:110, agefemafe:21.21±2.08 yrs; nma;e:90, agemale;22.17±2.07 yrs) and 200 high
school (n
femae:105, agefemaie:15.98±0.97 yrs nma/e:95, agema/e: 16.16±1.03 yrs), a total
of
400 volunteer students participated in this study. Physical activity level
of participants was determined by "Physical Activity Evaluation
Questionnaire". According to results
2 x 2 (Age/High School- University x Gender/Female-Male) Multivariate Analysis
of Variance significant main effects for age (Hotelling's T
2=0.450;
F(
5392)=35.270; p<0.01) and gender (Hotelling's T2=0.036;
F
(5392)=2.784; p<0.05) was observed in physical activity level.
On the other hand age x gender interaction was not significant for physical
activity (Hotelling's T
2=0.016; F/5392
)=1.220;
p>0.05). In conclusion, the findings of the present study indicated that age
and gender have an effect on physical activity level. High-school students have
higher activity level in school index and total weekly physical activity levels
than university students. In addition in school index females and in
transportation index males had higher activity levels than their counterparts
