Analysis of Financial Data of Turkey Football Federation in terms of Financing of Amateur Football

Abstract

While one of the main goals of professional football is profit, social goal is more important in amateur football. As the whole world amateur football in Turkey, in line with the social objectives, the more services to the dissemination of football. In this respect, amateur football is generally supported financially by public authorities. Turkey Football Federation is one of the most important public authorities to maintain the existence of amateur sports. Therefore, if amateur football is desired to be supported more by the Federation, it is necessary that the income obtained from amateur football and the expenses in this field is converted. In this context, the aim of this study is to analyze whether or not the Federation can adequately support amateur football financially by analysing of the financial statements of the last five terms.

Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Mali Verilerinin Amatör Futbolun Finansmanı Açısından Analizi

Abstract

Profesyonel futbolun ana amaçlarından biri kâr iken amatör futbolda sosyal amaç daha önemlidir. Bütün dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de amatör futbol, bu sosyal amaç doğrultusunda, futbolun yaygınlaştırılmasına daha fazla hizmet eder. Bu itibarla amatör futbol genel olarak kamu otoriteleri tarafından finansal olarak desteklenir. Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu amatör sporun varlığını sürdürmesi için en önemli kamu otoritelerinden biridir. Dolayısıyla Federasyonca amatör futbol daha fazla desteklenmek isteniyorsa, amatör futboldan elde edilen gelirler ile bu alandaki harcamaların dönüştürülmesi gerekir. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışmanın amacı, son beş dönem mali tablolarının analizi yoluyla, Federasyonun, finansal açıdan, amatör futbolu yeterli ölçüde destekleyip destekleyemediğini açıklamaya çalışmaktır.
