Effect of the Laboratory Supported Method on the Understanding of Solutions Subject of High School Pupils

Abstract

This study is concerned with the comparison of the effect of the traditional and the laboratory supported method in the understanding of the concepts related to solutions. There were three classes chosen as the control, experimental I and experimental 2 groups from the first year classes of Dr. Şerafettin Tombuloğlu high school located in Golbası region of Ankara. All three groups were subjected Scientific Process Skill Test, Logical Thinking Capacity Test, And Solutions Conceptual Test, as pre-tests. The subject was taught with the traditional method to the kontrol group and laboratory supported method was applied with the use of the material available in the lab to the second group and with use of common materials available in our everyday lives to the third group. All three groups were then subjected Solutions Conceptual Test as the Post Test after the teaching period in order to measure the success rate. The data were evaluated by the use of t-Test and Ancova analysis. Lise Öğrencilerinin Çözeltiler Konusunu Kavramaları Üzerine Laboratuar Destekli Öğretim Yönteminin Etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, çözeltiler konusu ile ilgili kavramların anlaşılmasında geleneksel öğretim yöntemi ile laboratuar destekli öğretim yönteminin etkileri karşılaştırıldı. Araştırma için, Ankara/Gölbaşı İlçesinde, Dr. Şerafettin Tombuloğlu Lisesi 1. sınıflarından üç sınıf belirlendi ve Kontrol, Deney 1 ve Deney 2 grubu olarak rasgele seçildi. Öğretimden önce her üç sınıfa da bilimsel işlem beceri testi, mantıksal düşünme yeteneği testi, çözeltiler kavram testi-ön test olarak uygulandı. Çözeltiler konusu, Kontrol grubuna geleneksel öğretim yöntemiyle, Deney-1 ve, Deney 2 grubunda farklı malzemelerin kullanıldığı laboratuar destekli öğretim yöntemiyle işlendi. Öğretimden sonra her üç gruba da, başarıyı ölçmek amacıyla, çözeltiler kavram testi, son test olarak uygulandı.
