MEB 2013 Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programı’nın Okuma Yazma Becerilerinin Gelişimi Yönünden Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Çalışma “MEB 2013 Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programı”nın çocukların okuma yazma becerilerinin gelişimi yönünden değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. MEB 2013 Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programı”; kazanımlar, öğrenme süreci ve değerlendirme basamakları dikkate alınarak doküman analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; MEB 2013 programında gelişim alanlarına göre okuma yazma becerilerini desteklemeye yönelik kazanımlar incelendiğinde, okuma temel alanını kapsayan bilişsel ve dil gelişimi alanlarına ait kazanımların büyük oranda okuma becerilerini desteklediği, fakat yazma temel alanına yönelik farkındalık kazandırmada bu alanları temsil eden kazanımların yetersiz kaldığı saptanmıştır.  Ayrıca sosyal-duygusal ve motor gelişimi alanlarına yönelik okuma yazma becerileri ile ilişkili yeterli sayıda kazanım bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrenme süreci açısından değerlendirildiğinde, okuma yazma temel alanlarını içine alan etkinliklerin uygulanmasına ilişkin açıklamaların yetersiz kaldığı ve programda doğrudan okuma yazma temel alanlarının tüm boyutlarını destekleyebilecek bir merkezin olmadığı görülmüştür. Değerlendirme boyutu yönünden ise, okuma yazma becerilerinin tüm alanlarını kapsayan çok boyutlu değerlendirme araçlarının sınırlı kaldığı ve bireysel farklılıkların dikkate alınmadığı genel izlenimi tespit edilmiştir.
