Gephyra – A Journal for the Ancient History and Cultures of the Greek and Roman World is an open-access journal published online by the Research Centre for Mediterranean Languages and Cultures of Akdeniz University and printed by Phoibos Verlag in Vienna. It welcomes contributions from all fields of research on the ancient Greek and Roman world up to the sixth century AD that employ or critically assess epigraphic, philological, numismatic, or papyrological evidence, and that contribute to the study of historical, geographical, social, cultural, economic, administrative, and institutional aspects of antiquity. Submissions are expected to engage substantially with one or more of these categories of material; manuscripts that do not meet this criterion will not be considered for evaluation.
