The Isolation of Bacillus Species from the Samples of Raw Milk, Pasteurized Milk and White Cheese and the Determination of Bacillus Species Being Existence Beta-Lactamase by Iodometric Test Method (Turkish with English Abstract)

Abstract

Totally 72 Bacillus was isolated from the samples of raw milk, pasteurized milk and white cheese which were obtained from various milk companies. 30 Bacillus were determined to have positive beta-lactamase. The positive beta-lactamase Bacillus were found 4 from raw milk, 8 from pasteurized milk and 18 from white cheese. 30 beta-lactamase positive Bacillus were called 3 B. cereus, 1 B. lentus, 1 B. brevis, 2 B. firmus, 1 B. thuringiensis, 1 B. polylmysa, 1 B. curculans 1 B. pumilus, 2 B. megaterium and 17 as unknown Bacillus. Beta-lactamase negative 42 Bacillus were isolated 2 from raw milk, 24 from pasteurized milk and 16 from white cheese. 42 beta-lactamase negative Bacillus are named 5 B. sphaericus, 1 B. firmus, 1 B. circulans, 1 B. anthracis, 1 B. pumilus, 1 B. macerans and 32 as a unknown. The Bacillus which were tested as beta-lactamase positive were then controlled by penicillin-G antibiotics. In addition, the antibiotic sensitivity tests against cefazolin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, gentamicin, amikacin, clindamycin and ofloxacin were also tested.

Çiğ Süt, Pastörize Süt ve Beyaz Peynir Örneklerinden İzole Edilen ve İyodometrik Test Yöntemiyle Beta-Laktamaz Varlığı Saptanan Bacillus Türleri

Abstract

Çeşitli süt işletmelerinden sağlanan süt, pastörize süt ve beyaz peynir örneklerinden toplam 72 Bacillus izole edilmiştir. 30’u beta-laktamaz pozitif olarak tespit edilmiştir. Beta-laktamaz pozitif olarak değerlendirilen Bacillus’ların 4’ü çiğ sütten, 8’i pastörize sütten, 18’i beyaz peynir örneklerinden saptanmıştır. 30 beta-laktamaz pozitif Bacillus’ların 3’ü  B. cereus, 1’i B. lentus, 1’i B. brevis, 2’si B. firmus, 1’i B. thuringiensis, 1’i B. polymyxa, 1’i B. circulans 1’i B. pumilus, 2’si B. megaterium ve 17’si adlandırılamayan Bacillus’lardır. Beta-laktamaz negatif olarak değerlendirilen 42 Bacillus’un 2’si çiğ süt, 24’ü pastörize süt ve 16’sı da peynir örneklerinden izole edilmiştir. 42 beta-laktamaz pozitif olarak tespit edilen Bacillus’ların, 5’i B. sphaericus, 1’i B. firmus, 1’i B. circulans, 1’i B. anthracis, 1’i B. pumilus, 1’i B. macerans ve 32’si adlandırılamayan Bacilus’lardır. Beta-laktamaz pozitif olarak tespit edilen Bacillus’lar daha sonra penisilin-G antibiyotiği ile kontrol edilmiştir. Ayrıca sefazolin, klavulanat-amoksisilin, gentamisin, amikasin, klindamisin ve ofloksasin antibiyotiklerine karşı antibiyotik duyarlılık testleri yapılmıştır.
