In this study it is aimed to identify biology preservice teachers' current status in terms of educational use of the internet and to determine if teachers use the internet for professional purposes. Besides, it is also aimed to determine whether preservice teachers have gender and grade level differences in internet usage status. For this purpose, an educational internet usage status questionnaire was applied to 117 biology preservice teachers in 2, 3, 4 and 5th grades studying in department of biology education. It is found that biology preservice teachers who participated in have a good degree in internet usage with an avarage of 3.79, male preservice teachers show more positive attitudes than female preservice teachers in terms of internet usage status and there aren’t any significant grade level differences in attitudes towards use of internet for educational purposes.
