Hemşirelerin Ahlaki Duyarlılıklarının Profesyonellik Davranışlarına Etkisinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Giriş: Hemşirelerin ahlaki duyarlılığı; etik karar alma becerilerini, mesleki doyumlarını ve bakım kalitelerini artırmakta ve dolayısıyla onların profesyonelliklerini geliştirmektedir. Amaç: Bu araştırma hemşirelerin ahlaki duyarlılıklarının profesyonellik davranışlarına etkisinin belirlemesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma 439 hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: Veri toplama aracı olarak Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, Ahlaki Duyarlılık Anketi (ADA), Hemşirelikte Profesyonelliğe İlişkin Davranışsal Envanter (HPDE) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulanmasına başlamadan önce etik kurul izni, çalışmanın yapıldığı kurumlardan kurum izni, katılımcılardan bilgilendirilmiş onam alınmıştır. Bulgu: Hemşirelerin %95,0’ının kadın, %68,4’ünün evli, %73,1’inin ise çocuk sahibi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin %66,1’inin mesleğini kendi isteği tercih ettiği, %52,8’i mesleki doyum sağladığı, %64,0’ı mesleğinden memnun olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada ADA toplam puanlar azalırken HPDE toplam puanlar artmaktadır. Sonuç: Hemşirelerin ahlaki duyarlılıkları ile profesyonellik düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu ve birbirini etkilediği saptanmıştır.

THE DETERMINATION OF THE EFFECTS OF THE MORAL SENSIBILITY OF NURSES TO THEIR PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOURS

Abstract

Background: Moral sensitivity of nurses; It increases their ethical decision-making skills, professional satisfaction and quality of care, and therefore improves their professionalism. Aim: This study has been conducted to determine the effect of nurses' moral sensitivity on their professionalism. Method: The research was carried out with 439 nurses. As data collection tools, The Introductory Information Form, the Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire (MSQ) and Behavioral Inventory of Professionalism in Nursing (BIPN) have been used. Before starting the application of the study, permission from the ethics committee, institutional permission from the institutions where the study was conducted, and informed consent from the participants were obtained. Results: In the study, the MSQ Cronbach α value has been calculated as 0.87 and BIPN Cronbach α value has been calculated as 0.71. It has been determined that 95.0% of the nurses are women, 68.4% of whom are married and 73.1% of whom have childrenIt has been determined that 66.1% of the nurses preferred their profession at their own will, 52.8% of whom have professional satisfaction and 64.0% of whom are satisfied with their profession. In the study, while MSQ total scores decrease, BIPN total scores increase. Conclucion: It has been determined that the moral sensitivity and professionalism level of the nurses are moderate and affect each other.
