Log-Gamma - Rayleigh Distribution: Properties and Applications

Abstract

 In this paper, for the first time we defined and studied a new two parameter lifetime model by using the T-X method, called the Log-Gamma Rayleigh distribution. This distribution can be considered as new generalization of the Rayleigh distribution. We obtain some of its mathematical properties. Some structural properties of the new distribution are studied. The method of maximum likelihood is used for estimating the model parameters. An application to a real data sets is given to show the flexibility and potentiality of the new model.
