MULTI-OBJECTIVE OPTIMIZATION SOLUTIONS TO THE TAGUCHI’S PROBLEM

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The dual response approach has widely been used in the literature to solve the Taguchi’s problem. This excellent approach contains some deficiencies especially on the standard deviation response. These restrictions may rule out better conditions or globally preferred values in the industrial process or the product of interest. This paper presents a more flexible formulation of the problem and it’s solving technique. In this study, we also extend the dual response problem by some cost elements (i.e., treatment cost).

Abstract

Literatürde, “ikili cevap (dual response)” yaklaşımı olarak bilinen yöntem, Taguchi probleminin çözümünde yaygın olarak kullanılır. Ancak, bu mükemmel yaklaşımın bazı yetersiz yönleri de vardır. Kalite standart sapması ile ilgili kısıtlamalar süreç veya ürünle ilgili bulunabilecek daha iyi koşulları veya tümel optimum değerleri dışlayabilir. Bu çalışmada, kalite standart sapmasını kısıttan kurtaracak yeni bir problem tanımı ve çözüm stratejisi önerilerek, maliyet öğeleri ile Taguchi probleminin genişletilmesi konusu üzerinde durulmuştur
