Kemoterapiye Bağlı Bulantı-Kusma Yönetiminde Tamamlayıcı ve Alternatif Tıp Yöntemlerinin Kullanımı

Abstract

Bulantı
ve kusma, kemoterapi tedavisine bağlı olarak karşılaştığımız semptomlardan biri
olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Kanser hastalarının %40-70’inde hastalığın seyri
sırasında bulantı ve kusma görülebilmektedir. Medikal girişimlerin yeterli
olmadığı hoş olmayan bu deneyim hastaların alternatif yollar aramasına sebep
olmaktadır. Tamamlayıcı ve alternatif tıp yöntemleri olarak adlandırılan bu
alternatif yollar, kanser hastalarında bulantı-kusma semptomunun yönetiminde
kullanılmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerin başlıcaları literatürde: bitkisel yöntemler,
müzik terapi, masaj, refleksoloji, gevşeme egzersizleri, akupunktur-akupresür,
hipnoz şeklinde ifade edilmiştir. Kanser hastaları ile çalışan hemşirelerin bu
yöntemlerle ilgili bilgi sahibi olmaları, hasta ve yakınlarını doğru adrese
yönlendirmeleri danışmanlık rollerinin bir gereği olması açısından önemlidir.
