Adolesanda Yeme Bozuklukları

Year 2018, Volume: 7 Issue: 1, 203 - 209, 31.03.2018

Abstract

Eating Disorders in Adolescence

Year 2018, Volume: 7 Issue: 1, 203 - 209, 31.03.2018

Abstract

The incidence of eating disorders resulting from a combination of many factors such as biological, psychological and social factors in society is gradually increasing, and its age of onset gradually decreasing. Today, eating disorders have become a very important health problem since they indicate the increase in the ratios of obesity, depression, suicide attempts, anxiety
disorders and mortality in the future. Healthcare professionals have key roles in the early diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation process of eating disorders. Therefore, the terminological classification of eating disorders, the formation of appropriate treatment protocols and especially social awareness for family-based behavior change approaches are needed nowadays.
