Abstract

Critical thinking is seen as a skill that can be used to improve nursing practice and provide quality nursing care. Nursing education consists of theoretical and practical training given to prepare nurses for their duties as nursing specialists. Many different strategies are proposed to develop critical thinking among nursing students. Nurses must be prepared to work as safe, competent, intuitive and innovative clinicians in an environment where new information and clinical situations are constantly changing. In order to train nurses who can serve individuals and society in the future, it is very important to give students critical thinking skills during their education. In this review, it is aimed to examine the teaching strategies used to increase the effective use of critical thinking in nursing education and practices.
