Hendese Journal of Technical Sciences and Engineering implements a rigorous plagiarism policy to protect academic integrity and encourage original scientific studies. At every stage of the publication process, the scientific originality and ethical compliance of all articles submitted to the journal are meticulously reviewed.
Plagiarism Detection Process
For all articles submitted to our journal, authors are required to upload similarity reports (Turnitin or iThenticate) to the system at the time of submission. Additionally, articles uploaded to the journal are subject to a re-scan of similarity by the editorial board.
The following criteria are applied to articles being evaluated:
- The total similarity rate, excluding references, must not exceed 20%.
- The citation rate from a single source must not exceed 3%.
- Even if the total similarity rate is low, the manuscript will be returned to the author if there are extensive or block quotations in certain sections.
- Similarity checks may be repeated by the editors both at the beginning and end of the evaluation process.
Authors' Responsibilities
- Authors are responsible for declaring that their submitted work is completely original. All authors participating in the study are responsible for adhering to the Hendese Journal's Ethical Principles and Publication Policy criteria.
- It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that all sources used are accurately, completely, and appropriately cited.
- Authors must ensure that citations from other studies are cited in accordance with scientific standards.
Sanctions Applied in Case of Detection of Plagiarism
