1- HIKEM is a refereed journal published twice a year, in March and September.
2- Texts should not have been published elsewhere before. These features of the texts produced from theses or symposium papers should be indicated with a footnote on the first page.
3- Manuscripts must be submitted through the dergipark system.
4- The article should be prepared in accordance with the Word Template given below.
5- In cases requiring the use of different fonts (transcription, etc.), the file of the required font should be sent along with the text of the article.
6- Articles can be published in Turkish, English and Arabic.
7- Isnad Citation System 2nd Edition and Zotero citation programme should be used for citation and reference.
8- Double blind referee system is applied in our journal. Referee names are not published in the journal.
9- The articles submitted to the journal are firstly checked for plagiarism. Then, it is checked whether the article deals with a subject within the scope of the journal. Finally, "Preliminary Review" is completed by evaluating in terms of figures, footnotes and bibliography.
10- The articles that pass the preliminary review are sent to 2 referees for evaluation.
If both referees give acceptance, the publication process is started.
If both referees reject, the article is rejected.
If one referee gives rejection and the other gives major revision, the article is rejected.

If both referees give major revisions, the manuscript is resubmitted to the same referees after the corrections.
If one of the referees gives rejection, the other gives acceptance or minor revision, the manuscript is sent to the 3rd referee.
If one of the referees gives minor revision and the other gives major revision, the manuscript is resubmitted to the referee who gave major revision after the corrections. If the referee makes an acceptance decision, the article is published. If the referee gives a rejection decision, the article is sent to the third referee. The article is published or rejected according to the decision of the third referee.
