Synthesis of vic-Dioxime Derivatives with Semicarbazone Side Groups and Their Ni II Complexes

Abstract

In this work, two novel vic-dioxime L1H2, L2H2 compounds bearing semicarbazone side groups and their Ni II complexes were synthesized. The vic-dioxime ligands of bearing semicarbazone side groups were synthesized by reactinganti-chloroglyoxime with semicarbazidehydrochloride, 4-aminoacetophenenone semicarbazone, respectively. Ligands form mononuclear complexes [Ni LH 2] with a metal:ligand ratio of 1:2. The Ni II complexes are proposed tobe square planar. Structural assignments are supported by a combination of1H-NMR,13C-NMR, HMQC, FT-IR, UV,elemental analyses and magnetic susceptibility
