About

Hacettepe Journal of Biology and Chemistry published its first issue in 1972. It started its publication with the name HACETTEPE BULLET IN OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING. It was published as 1 issue per year until 2001. It was named Hacettepe Journal of Biology and Chemistry in 2002 and was published annually until 2007. It has been published in 4 issues per year since 2007.

Hacettepe Journal of Biology and Chemistry (HJBC) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, multidisciplinary, periodical journal containing original research papers and review articles in English.


As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines:

✓ The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
✓ The similarity index is not exceeding 20% from multiple sources and 4% from a single source.
✓ The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format and the text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Manuscript Template.
✓ All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
✓ A Copyright Transfer Form is filled out, signed, and ready for submission.
