Repository Policy

The Hittite Journal of Science and Engineering commits to keeping all of its articles open access under the CC-BY-NC Creative Commons license and storing the full-text content in archival platforms and on the website https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/hjse.

Articles published in the Hittite Journal of Science and Engineering are digitally archived in LOCKSS. Additionally, the published articles can be made openly accessible in the institutional repository (such as Dspace) of the author's affiliated university or in another archive without any embargo period. This allows anyone to freely access this publication.

  • The Hittite Journal of Science and Engineering allows authors to archive for personal and/or institutional purposes using the (publisher PDF) final published version of the article.
  • There is no embargo period for archiving, but proper attribution to the published source should be given, and a link to the journal homepage or the article's DOI should be provided.
  • Authors can download the output of the article as a PDF document. Authors can also share copies of the article with their colleagues without any restrictions.
  • The Hittite Journal of Science and Engineering utilizes the LOCKSS system to enable the creation of permanent archives. The LOCKSS Program, based at Stanford University Libraries, offers award-winning, low-cost, open-source digital preservation tools to libraries and publishers, ensuring permanent and authorized access to digital content. LOCKSS is a digital preservation system built on the principle of "lots of copies keep stuff safe."
