The main purpose of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Journal of Social Sciences Institute is to create a scientific platform where scientists working in the field of social sciences share their knowledge, experience, evaluations, opinions and suggestions, and to contribute to the studies in the field of social sciences at national and international levels.

Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Journal of Social Sciences Institute is a refereed, scientific journal published twice a year (June and December). Our journal includes applied studies, analyses and evaluations, and qualitative research in all areas of social sciences.

In order to upload your article to our journal, the author button must be marked in the My Account / Edit My Profile option. In order for the referee process to be initiated, your article must be organized according to the writing rules (click to download).

The maximum number of pages for submitted articles is 20. A single-page plagiarism prevention program report indicating the similarity rate of the articles submitted to our journal, an ethics committee report requested for articles requiring an ethics committee decision (see Ethical Principles and Publication Policy) and a copyright transfer form must be uploaded by the responsible author together with the article.

In order to facilitate the follow-up of the studies published in our journal by foreign readers and to increase the interest and citation count towards our journal and publications, an extended abstract in English is requested for the studies to be published. An Extended Abstract in English will be added after the References section of articles written in Turkish. (A Turkish extended abstract will not be added to articles written in English). The extended abstract will be between 750-1000 words. The formal writing features of the journal that are valid for the main text are also valid for the extended abstract. Extended Abstract will include the subheadings “Introduction”, “Method” and “Result and Discussion”.

ULAKBİM has updated the TRDİZİN Journal Evaluation Criteria for 2020 and detailed the articles regarding the ethics committee approval that must be in scientific research. In this context;
- In all articles that require an Ethics Committee Approval Certificate, ethics committee information and statements must be stated and documented.

- It must be stated that permission has been obtained from the owners for the use of scales, surveys and photographs belonging to others.

Articles without this information and documents will not be accepted for publication even if the evaluation process is completed. (See the journal template for processing all this data)
