• Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Journal of Social Sciences Institute is an international and refereed journal that aims to contribute to studies related to Social Sciences and includes original research in its field.

-For studies that do not require ethics committee approval, authors must complete the “Declaration of Exemption from Ethics Committee Approval”, have it signed by the corresponding author, and upload it to the submission system in PDF format. - A maximum of 15 articles in Turkish and English will be included in each issue. The number of Turkish articles published in an issue cannot exceed 10.
- Articles written by Hatay Mustafa Kemal University members cannot exceed 20% of the total number of articles published in an issue.

                IMPORTANT NOTES TO AUTHORS: 

- After completing their revisions in line with the referee evaluations, authors must definitely upload the final version of the article, the marked/colored version for tracking the corrections made, and the report they prepared in response to the referees. (The last two will be uploaded to the process files section)
-At the initial submission and manuscript upload stage, authors are required to include a current similarity report generated using reliable similarity detection software such as iThenticate or Turnitin. Manuscripts with an overall similarity rate exceeding 20%, excluding the reference list, will not be considered for evaluation and will be rejected outright. Where deemed necessary, the Editorial Board may re-screen the manuscript using a different similarity detection program or request an updated or second similarity report from the author. The similarity rate alone shall not be regarded as conclusive evidence of plagiarism; the nature of the identified matches, citation and referencing practices, and compliance with academic ethics principles will also be evaluated.

-At the initial submission stage, the full-text manuscript must include complete information for each author, including full name, academic title (if applicable), current institutional affiliation, department/unit, institutional or active e-mail address, and ORCID iD. Authors who are not currently affiliated with an institution should be identified as “Independent Researcher”, and their most recently graduated higher education institution and relevant academic unit should also be stated. For manuscripts with multiple authors, this information must be provided separately for each author, and the corresponding author must be clearly identified. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the author information entered into the DergiPark submission system is consistent with the information provided in the manuscript.
-  For articles requiring ethics committee approval; no article without ethics committee approval will be included in the publication process.

-For studies that do not require ethics committee approval, the author(s) must prepare and upload a signed “Declaration of Exemption from Ethics Committee Approval.” The declaration must clearly state whether the study involves any research procedures requiring ethics committee approval, including data collection from human participants, surveys, interviews, focus groups, experiments, use of personal data, or similar research procedures. The declaration must include the title of the manuscript, the full name(s) of the author(s), the date, and signature(s), and must be uploaded to the submission system as a signed PDF document. The author(s) bear responsibility for accurately determining and declaring whether ethics committee approval is required for the study.
