This study aims to adapt the “Individual Innovativeness Scale” for school principals and test its validity and reliability. The adapted “School Principals’ Individual Innovativeness Scale (SPIIS)” differs from the literature at some points. The final 19-item form scale has 11 positive and 8 negative items, and two-factor structure. Cronbach Alpha values were 0.92, 0.88 for the factors titled Openness to Innovation and Resistance to Innovation, and 0.83 for the whole scale. The corrected item-total correlation values of the scale and, the significance of the item mean scores of the lower 27% and upper 27% groups indicate that items make discriminative measurements. In the modified scale model obtained as a result of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis, the fit index values are at excellent, good and acceptable levels. Calculated χ2/sd ratio is 1.23. The findings show that 19-item SPIIS is a valid and reliable measurement tool that can be used in determining the perceptions of school principals' individual innovativeness. It is predicted that determining the individual innovativeness levels of school principals and/or using SPIIS in related studies will contribute to the development of individual innovativeness of school principals in the field of educational administration.
